DUE DATES

The Town Tax Collector collects Town and County property taxes only. Tax bills are mailed out at the end of December and will be accepted penalty-free, for the month of January. Your tax bill can be viewed online at the Tax Glance link as soon as our office receives and uploads your electronic tax bills from the Oswego County Treasurer's Office, which is not until the end of December.

January 1-31 Payments accepted penalty-free.

February 1-28 Payments accepted at 1% penalty rate.

March 1-31 Payments accepted at 2% penalty rate.

April 1- Payments are no longer accepted by the Town Tax Collector. The Oswego County Treasurer does not begin accepting payments until the THIRD WEEK OF APRIL.

POSTMARK

-We DO accept payments with an official USPS postmark of January 31st or earlier as "on time" and penalty-free.
-Payments with a USPS postmark of March 31st or earlier will be accepted by the Town Tax Collector at the penalty rate according to your bill.
-Payments missing a postmark will be considered received the day they are received.

*We offer a payment option by credit card as a convenience to our residents. Unfortunately, due to processing fees which are beyond our control, there is a $1.75 or 3% processing fee for all credit/debit card transactions (whichever is higher) and a flat $2.50-5.00 processing fee for all e-check payments. This fee is not determined by the town nor is it revenue for the town.
